
Motorcyclist dies after crash in Morris County
JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A 57-year-old Oak Ridge man has died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash that occurred on July 24 in Jefferson Township, according to police.
At approximately 8:14 p.m., police responded to the area of Cozy Lake Road and Wild Rose Road for a reported motorcycle crash. Upon arrival, officers discovered a single rider who had been ejected from the motorcycle.
Life-saving measures were administered on scene before the rider was flown to Morristown Medical Center. The motorcyclist was identified as Peter W. Joyce, 57, who passed away on July 25 as a result of his injuries.
Police said no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The Jefferson Township Police Department expressed gratitude to the Milton First Aid Squad, Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 1, and the Jefferson Township Office of Emergency Management for their assistance.
