Motorcyclist injured in early morning crash on I-78 in Hunterdon County

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — A motorcyclist was injured early Tuesday in a crash on Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County, according to the New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded to the scene around 1:11 a.m. on I-78 eastbound at milepost 17.2 in Clinton Township, said NJSP spokesman Trooper II Christopher Postorino.

A preliminary investigation found that a Honda motorcycle was traveling east when the rider lost directional control and overturned. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
