Motorcyclist seriously injured in Route 46 crash in Morris County

MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Montville Township) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Route 46 East in the Pine Brook section of Montville Township, according to police.

Montville Township police responded to the crash at approximately 1:55 a.m. Authorities said the accident involved only the motorcycle.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment.

Route 46 East remained closed for several hours following the crash and reopened around 5 a.m., police said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Montville Township Police Department and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office.
