Mount Olive Township warns residents about mortgage postcards not affiliated with township
MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Mount Olive Township officials are warning residents about a blue postcard being mailed to homes that references their mortgages and the township, causing confusion among recipients.
According to township officials, the postcards are being sent by Mortgage Services Group, LLC, a company that is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of Mount Olive Township.
Officials emphasized that the township does not hold residents’ mortgages and has no involvement in the mailing.
Residents are urged to exercise caution when responding to the postcards and carefully review any requests for personal or financial information before taking action.
Anyone with questions about their mortgage should contact their mortgage lender directly using official contact information rather than relying on information provided in the mailing.
Township officials issued the warning to clarify that the postcards are not official communications from Mount Olive Township.
