
Multiple people injured in three-vehicle crash on I-80 in Morris County
PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — Multiple people were injured Wednesday morning in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 eastbound in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township, according to New Jersey State Police.
Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 5:14 a.m. near milepost 45.3.
A preliminary investigation found that a Kenworth dump truck and a Ford van were traveling east on Interstate 80 when the dump truck struck the rear of the van.
State police said the impact caused the van to crash into the center median. The dump truck also struck the center median before hitting a Tesla that was disabled on the left shoulder from a previous crash.
The driver of the Kenworth, the driver and passenger of the Tesla, and multiple passengers in the Ford van sustained minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals, police said.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
