NJ State Police investigate road rage shooting on I-80 in Morris County

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – The New Jersey State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in an ongoing shooting investigation following a road rage incident on Interstate 80 in Parsippany-Troy Hills.

According to a preliminary investigation, on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at around 6:18 a.m., troopers responded to reports of a shooting on the eastbound side of I-80 near exit 47B, state police said.

The suspect, driving a silver minivan similar to the one pictured with an unknown Pennsylvania license plate, allegedly pulled alongside a blue Subaru Outback and fired at least one shot, hitting the rear driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle, state police said.

State Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or the events surrounding it to contact the NJSP Troop “B” Totowa Station Detective Bureau at 973-785-9412. Tips can be provided anonymously.
