NJ State Police trooper injured in Warren County crash that flipped police vehicle Saturday morning

HOPE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A New Jersey State Police trooper was injured early Saturday morning after the patrol vehicle flipped in Warren County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Charles Marchan.

On Sept 9, at 4:51 a.m., a trooper was responding to a motorist aid call located on County Route 519 in Hope Township, Marchan said.

When the trooper was traveling on Hissim Road the trooper lost directional control while negotiating a curve, causing the vehicle to run off the roadway to the left, strike an embankment and overturn, Marchan said.

The trooper suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Marchan said.
