NJ Transit offers free rides for kids on ‘Take Your Kids to Work Day’

Up To Two Children Under 18 Ride Free With A Fare-Paying Adult On April 24th

NEW JERSEY — Help inspire future generations and take NJ TRANSIT to the office for “Take Your Kids To Work Day.”

On Thursday, April 24, up to two children under the age of 18 can ride free on any bus, train or light rail with a fare-paying adult. NJ TRANSIT is proud to participate in this national educational event each year that promotes career exploration and highlights the benefits of using transit to commute.

“Taking your kids to work on NJ TRANSIT is a great way to spark curiosity and imagination,” said NJ TRANSIT President & CEO Kris Kolluri. “We’re proud to encourage families to explore career possibilities together and experience firsthand the benefits of public transportation.”

This offer is valid on Thursday, April 24, and allows two children up to the age of 18 to travel free with each fare-paying adult. Children do not need a ticket to enjoy this special one-day offer.

The NJ TRANSIT Company Employee Resource Group (CERG) called empower, which focuses on Women’s issues, helped develop a new “Traveling With Children” web page to assist adults with information and tips on traveling with children via NJ TRANSIT.
