No injuries reported in tractor-trailer crash on Route 31 in Warren County

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Warren County) — Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer early Wednesday morning along Route 31 in Washington Borough.

According to police, officers responded at approximately 5:21 a.m. to the area of Route 31 South near Park Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer with unknown injuries.

A preliminary investigation found the tractor-trailer was traveling northbound on Route 31 near Park Avenue when it left the roadway to the right and struck a retaining wall. The vehicle then crossed the center line into the southbound lanes before leaving the roadway again and coming to rest off the roadway near the intersection of Route 31 and Lower Park Road, police said.

Authorities reported no injuries in the crash.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Washington Emergency Squad, the Washington Borough Fire Department, the Warren County Communications Center and Stew’s Auto Body.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
