One airlifted after motorcycle, vehicle crash in Hunterdon County

WEST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — One person was airlifted to a trauma center following a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle Saturday evening in the 500 block of Brunswick Pike, according to a post from the West Amwell Fire Company on Facebook.

The crash was reported around 5:48 p.m. Emergency units from the West Amwell Fire Company and township EMS responded within minutes. The first arriving fire chief assumed command and requested a medevac be placed on standby as responders assessed the scene.

Crews provided medical assistance to those involved and transported one injured person to a designated landing zone at Brunswick Pike and Rock Road, where they were flown to a trauma center for further treatment.

The extent of injuries was not immediately released, and the identity of the patient has not been disclosed. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the West Amwell Township Police Department.
