WARREN COUNTY, NJ – I-78 westbound near Phillipsburg is scheduled to be reduced to a single travel lane (two of three lanes closed) during overnight hours on Monday, Oct. 7, and Friday, Oct. 11, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The travel restrictions will allow a Commission contractor to perform deck sealing and asphalt joint sealing work as part of an ongoing roadway rehabilitation project.

The lane closures are scheduled to be implemented as follows:

  • Single travel lane from milepost 4.8 in New Jersey to the I-78 Toll Bridge at the Delaware River – 10:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, to 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8;
  • Single travel lane from milepost 0.9 in New Jersey across the I-78 Toll Bridge to milepost 75.2 in Pennsylvania — 10:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, to 7:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12.

Brief travel delays are possible and motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution when traveling through active work areas, the commission said.

The scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors, the commission said.
