Overnight single-lane travel and ramp closures on I-78 in Warren County Sept. 3-6
WARREN COUNTY, NJ – Single-lane travel (two of three lanes closed) is scheduled for I-78 westbound in Warren County during overnight hours Tuesday, Sept. 3, through Friday, Sept. 6, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge
Also, exit/entrance ramp closures with posted detours will be in effect during overnight hours at the I-78 interchange for Routes 22/122,/173 (Exit 3 – Phillipsburg) on the nights of Thursday, Sept. 5, and Friday, Sept. 6, the commission said.
The travel restrictions will allow for milling and paving work as part of a roadway resurfacing project that is expected to reach completion later this year, the commission said.
The lane closures are scheduled for between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (next day). The ramp closure times are 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., the commission said.
“Only minor travel delays are anticipated. Traffic volumes are low during overnight hours. The anticipated schedule is subject to change due to weather, emergencies, or other factors,” the commission said.
The commission is urging motorists to exercise caution, reduce speeds, and anticipate possible delays when traveling through active work zones.
