Periodic lane closures planned at Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Bridge over next three weekends

FRENCHTOWN BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Motorists traveling across the Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge should expect periodic lane closures and brief travel delays over the next three weekends as crews work to complete rehabilitation tasks, officials announced.

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission said the bridge will be subject to flagger-controlled, alternating single-lane travel on the weekends of Nov. 8–9, Nov. 15–16, and Nov. 22–23.

To accelerate progress on remaining project work, the contractor will extend its weekend hours from 7 a.m. to 5 a.m. on both Saturdays and Sundays. Officials said occasional traffic stoppages and lane shifts may also be necessary during this period.

Drivers are urged to use caution, follow flagger instructions, and be prepared to stop when approaching the bridge. Any resulting travel delays are expected to be brief, the commission said.
