Phillipsburg police investigate multiple vehicle burglaries, seek surveillance footage

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — Police are investigating numerous vehicle burglaries reported in the Pursel Hill and Valley View areas of Phillipsburg.

The Phillipsburg Police Department is asking residents who have surveillance footage from the early morning hours of Monday, Aug. 24, that may show possible suspects or suspicious activity to contact police at 908-835-2002.

Police reminded residents that vehicle burglaries are commonly crimes of opportunity and encouraged motorists to take precautions to reduce their chances of becoming a victim.

Residents are urged to lock their vehicles every time, remove valuables and personal belongings, and avoid leaving items visible inside their vehicles.
