Phillipsburg police seek man wanted on multiple warrants

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — The Phillipsburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Tymir R. McDowell, 30, who is wanted on multiple warrants, including failure to appear in court for several charges, authorities said.

According to police, McDowell is wanted out of Phillipsburg for the following offenses:

  • Failure to appear in court for driving while intoxicated, with a bench warrant issued Jan. 6, 2023.
  • Failure to appear in court for narcotic-related offenses, with a bench warrant issued Feb. 1, 2022.
  • Failure to appear in court for burglary, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief, with a bench warrant issued March 16, 2023.

McDowell is also wanted out of the Warren County Jail for a narcotic-related offense, with an arrest warrant issued Feb. 3, 2023.

Police described McDowell as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. His date of birth is listed as Sept. 25, 1995.

McDowell’s current whereabouts are unknown. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Phillipsburg Police Department at 908-835-2002. Callers may remain anonymous.
