First responders rescue young angler stuck in mud

HIGH BRIDGE BOROUGH, NJ (Hunterdon County) – First responders rescued a young fisherman who became stuck in High Bridge Borough on Sunday afternoon.

This High Bridge Fire Department and South Branch Emergency Services responded to Lake Solitude for an adventures young fisherman stuck in the mud, officials said.

Lake Solitude is a man-made lake that has become full of a silt. It’s very easy to sink down into it, sort of like quick sand, officials said.

“Please let today’s event remind people to not go into the lake,” firefighters said in a Facebook post.
