Police: 3-vehicle crash in Morris County ends with DUI arrest

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Warren County man accused of driving drunk during a three-car crash was arrested on Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The crash occurred on March 23, at around 3:12 p.m., on Schooleys Mountain Road, near Rock Ridge Golf Course in Washington Township, police said.

Upon investigation, police determined that the driver of one of the vehicles, a 40-year-old man from Vienna, appeared impaired. The odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected, and it appeared the driver was having difficulty maintaining his balance, police said.

The driver was asked to perform field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence, police said.

The driver was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released without incident pending a court appearance, police said.
