Police find man passed out in stolen car in Morris County

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Police arrested a Hunterdon County man last week after they found him passed out in a stolen car in Washington Township.

On Tuesday, June 25, at around 6:00 a.m., an officer located a vehicle on Flocktown Road with the driver passed out and the vehicle running in the lane of travel, police said.

Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, who was only identified as a 34-year-old Lebanon man, was operating the vehicle while under the influence, police said.

Police also learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier, officials said.

The man was arrested and charged with DWI, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of stolen property. After being processed he was turned over to Lebanon Police Department for an outstanding warrant in their jurisdiction, police said.
