Police investigate report of adult allegedly harassing child outside Hackettstown Middle School

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — The Hackettstown Police Department is investigating a report that an adult male allegedly harassed a child outside Hackettstown Middle School earlier this week.

Police said the department received the report on Monday, July 13, regarding an incident that allegedly occurred outside the school, located at 500 Washington St.

On Tuesday, July 14, officers located and interviewed the adult male near the middle school as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police said no charges have been filed at this time.

The Hackettstown School District is cooperating with the Hackettstown Police Department as the investigation continues.

The investigation remains active, and police said no additional information is being released at this time.
