1 dead in Thanksgiving Day crash in Morris County

UPDATE: Authorities ID driver killed in 2-vehicle crash on Thanksgiving in Morris County

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – One person was killed Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash in Morris County, according to Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Public Information Officer Meghan Knab.

The crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Morris and Sussex Turnpikes in Randolph Township, Knab said.

The driver of the Mercedes was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle, Knab said.

The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time, Knab added.

The crash remains under investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Morris County Sheriff’s Office, and Randolph Police Department.
