Police investigate reported shooting in Warren County; no injuries reported

GREENWICH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Police are investigating a reported shooting Saturday evening in Greenwich Township, authorities said.

The Greenwich Township Police Department received reports of gunshots fired at approximately 7:57 p.m. in the area of Prospect Street and Beacon Street.

According to police, officers recovered evidence indicating that a shooting had occurred.

As of Sunday, investigators had not identified any victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said the investigation remains active but there is no immediate threat to the public.

Assisting agencies included the Blairstown Police Department, Lopatcong Township Police Department, New Jersey State Police, Phillipsburg Police Department, Pohatcong Township Police Department, Warren County Prosecutor’s Office and Washington Township Police Department.
