Police: Man inappropriately touched 2 women at Somerset County Dollar Tree
RARITAN BOROUGH, NJ (Somerset County) – A 25-year-old man from Milford Borough allegedly inappropriately touched two women at a Dollar Tree in Raritan Borough.
The investigation began on Sept. 4, when officers were dispatched to the Dollar Tree on Orlando Drive. Upon arrival, they spoke with a victim who reported that a male had been following her around the store. The victim stated that the male intentionally made inappropriate contact with her buttocks as he walked past her. This allegation was later corroborated by surveillance footage.
Dollar Tree employees informed officers that approximately 20 minutes prior to the victim’s report, the same male had inappropriately touched another woman’s buttocks. However, the suspect had left the scene before officers arrived.
Following the incident, Raritan Detectives released a surveillance image of the suspect, which led to his identification as Dylan Wilson by the Greenwich Township Police Department.
On October 4, an arrest warrant was issued for Wilson, who was subsequently taken into custody at his residence by Raritan Detectives, with assistance from New Jersey State Troopers from the Kingwood Barracks.
Wilson was charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact and is currently being held at the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
The Raritan Borough Police are also seeking assistance in identifying the second victim from this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Sergeant Benjamin Griffin at 908-725-6700 Ext. 18.
