Police seek public’s help after dog found dead in plastic bag in Warren County
LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Police are asking for the public’s help after a deceased dog was found in a plastic bag along River Road in Lopatcong Township earlier this week.
Officers were dispatched at about 10:22 a.m. Wednesday to the area of River Road (County Route 621) following a report of a dead dog. Police said they discovered a brindle female pit bull partially placed in a trash bag in the woods, not far from the roadside.
Evidence indicates the animal had been left there shortly before the call was made, authorities said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Lt. Scott Bisci or Sgt. Brian Nixon at 908-859-1212 or 908-859-2211.
