Police seek Warren County man wanted on weapons charge

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Independence Township police are seeking the public’s help locating a Warren County man wanted on a weapons-related charge, authorities said.

Police identified the man as Wayne G. Lash Jr., 51, whose last known address was listed at 115B Route 46 in Hackettstown.

According to a wanted notice issued by the Independence Township Police Department, Lash is charged with certain persons not to have weapons or ammunition.

Authorities said a warrant for Lash’s arrest was issued May 8.

Police described Lash as a white male standing 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has hazel eyes and is bald, according to the notice.

Anyone with information regarding Lash’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Independence Township Police Department at 908-852-4440.
