Project Self-Sufficiency to host Baby Beginnings event June 27 in Newton

NEWTON, N.J. (Sussex County) — Project Self-Sufficiency will host a Baby Beginnings event on Friday, June 27 at 1 p.m., offering pregnant women and parents of young children access to a range of resources aimed at supporting early childhood health, education, and family well-being.

The event will feature presentations on topics such as traveling with children, early childhood development, positive parenting strategies, and nutrition. Attendees will receive free baby items, participate in prize giveaways, and learn about local free and low-cost family activities. Lunch will be provided.

“Pregnant women and parents of young children have a great need for accurate information about a host of topics,” said Deborah Berry-Toon, Executive Director of Project Self-Sufficiency. “These Baby Beginnings Fairs will allow them to receive up-to-date health and wellness advice, as well as free items for baby and family.”

Baby Beginnings is part of a broader slate of services offered by Project Self-Sufficiency, which includes home visitation programs, Mommy Parties, and Parent Cafés designed to support parents and caregivers.
