Project Self-Sufficiency to host career, health fair
NEWTON, N.J. (Sussex County) — Project Self-Sufficiency will host a combined Career & Health Fair next month, offering area residents opportunities to explore employment, education and wellness resources.
The free event will take place Wednesday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to the public.
Local employers and educational institutions will be on hand to highlight job openings and academic programs. A representative from Sussex County Community College will provide an information session on coursework and majors, while healthcare organizations will offer information on the health and well-being of children and families.
Attendees can also receive job search assistance, including mock interviews, from staff at the Project Self-Sufficiency Career Center. A gift card will be awarded to one attendee.
“We encourage anyone who is interested in advancing their career and improving their health to attend this unique event,” commented Project Self-Sufficiency Executive Director Deborah Berry-Toon. “Attendees can get tips for better health and wellness, learn about employment opportunities and options for furthering their education, and explore the resources they need to move forward with their job searching process.”
