Prosecutor: Man died of self-inflicted gunshot wound after body found in vehicle in Hunterdon County parking lot

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Authorities determined that a man found dead in a vehicle in a Franklin Township parking lot died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

On Saturday, February 15, at around 1:40 a.m., police discovered a male dead in his vehicle in the parking lot of TJ Maxx. The individual suffered a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson

“There were no signs of foul play, and authorities confirm that there is no threat to public safety,” Robeson said.

Detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the incident.
