Python found in Warren County apartment; owner sought

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. — A python was discovered inside an apartment at the Washington Garden Apartments in Washington Borough.

The non-venomous snake is currently in the care of Common Sense for Animals, an animal welfare organization based in the area. The group is seeking to locate the snake’s rightful owner.

Anyone who believes the python belongs to them is asked to contact Common Sense for Animals at 908-859-3060. Proof of ownership is required.

It was not immediately clear how the snake ended up inside the apartment or how long it had been there.
