Raritan Township now accepting nominations for citizen, volunteer group, and business of the year awards

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) — Raritan Township is now accepting applications for the 2025 Citizen of the Year, Volunteer Group of the Year, and Business of the Year awards. Nominations will be accepted until September 30.

The annual awards recognize individuals, businesses, and volunteer organizations whose exceptional service and dedication have made a significant impact on the community.

Nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizen: The candidate must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the Township.
  • Volunteer Group: While the organization does not need to be based in the Township, it must demonstrate dedication, initiative, a positive attitude, and a significant contribution to residents.
  • Business: Nominated businesses must be located in the Township and have positively impacted the local economy through job growth, innovation, customer service, employee development, and community involvement.

Nominees will be invited to a future Raritan Township Committee meeting, where the final award winners in each category—Citizen, Volunteer Group, and Business—will be announced.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker.
