Raritan Township promotes two police officers during committee meeting

RARITAN TWP., N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Mayor Bob King and Raritan Township Police Chief Al Payne announced the promotion of two officers during a Township Committee meeting held on July 14.

Corporal Geoffrey Benz was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and Officer Ryan Barry was elevated to the rank of corporal. The promotions followed the passage of their respective resolutions and a formal swearing-in ceremony.

Both Sergeant Benz and Corporal Barry have served with the Raritan Township Police Department for nearly 12 years.

Raritan Township officials extended their congratulations to the newly promoted officers.
