Round Valley Reservoir lower boat ramp to close Oct. 9–24 for dock installation

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The New Jersey Fish & Wildlife announced that the Round Valley Reservoir lower boat ramp, kayak launch area, and lower gravel parking lot will be closed from Thursday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, to allow for the installation of new docks.

During this period, the upper boat ramp and parking areas will remain open, officials said. Boaters with trailers, as well as users of kayaks, canoes, and other personal watercraft, are encouraged to use the upper facilities while the work is underway.

“NJDEP Fish & Wildlife sincerely appreciates your patience and understanding while this important work is being completed and improvements are made,” the agency said in a statement.

The project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility and improve infrastructure for recreational users at the popular Hunterdon County reservoir.
