Route 202 north left lane to close Friday in Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — The left lane on Route 202 northbound between the Somerville Circle and Route 22 is scheduled to be closed Friday for priority inlet repairs, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

The closure is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 13 to allow crews to repair an inlet located between the Somerville Circle and the ramp from the circle onto Route 202 northbound. The right lane and the ramp to Route 202 northbound will remain open during the work.

If repairs are not completed Friday, the left lane will be closed at the same time Monday, Feb. 16, if necessary, NJDOT said.

Work to repair an inlet on Route 202 southbound near the same location was completed earlier this week.

Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution and expect delays while traveling through the work zone. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
