Route 22 Broad Street exit in Phillipsburg to close Monday for electrical work

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — The Broad Street exit from Route 22 eastbound in Phillipsburg is scheduled to be closed to all traffic from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, for electrical repairs, officials announced.

The ramp, located immediately after the Easton-Phillipsburg (Route 22) Toll Bridge from Pennsylvania, will be inaccessible during the repair work. A contractor for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission is scheduled to perform electrical maintenance near the exit ramp.

Motorists traveling from Pennsylvania into New Jersey via Route 22 east are advised to plan alternate routes to reach their destinations while the ramp is shut down.

Officials noted the closure is weather dependent and could be rescheduled in the event of inclement conditions or other unforeseen factors.
