Scheduled lane closures for I-78 toll bridge and approaches in New Jersey and Pennsylvania

Motorists traveling on the I-78 Toll Bridge and its approaches in New Jersey and Pennsylvania should be prepared for scheduled lane closures this week, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC).

These closures are part of a project by the commission to perform essential lane striping and pavement marker installation.

Schedule of Closures:

  • Tuesday, October 29:
    • 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. & 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Single westbound travel lane closed (two of three lanes open) on I-78 west from milepost 4.1 in NJ to milepost 76 in PA.
    • 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. (next day): Single westbound travel lane closed (two of three lanes open) on I-78 west from milepost 0.4 (bridge) to milepost 75.8 in PA.
  • Wednesday, October 30:
    • 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. (next day): Single westbound travel lane closed (two of three lanes open) on I-78 west from milepost 0.4 (bridge) to milepost 75.8 in PA.
  • Thursday, October 31:
    • 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Single westbound travel lane closed (two of three lanes open) on I-78 west from milepost 3.8 to milepost 0.4 in NJ and from milepost 77.1 to milepost 76.7 in PA.
  • Friday, November 1:
    • 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Single westbound travel lane closed (two of three lanes open) on I-78 west from milepost 3.8 to milepost 0.4 in NJ and from milepost 77.1 to milepost 76.7 in PA.

Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution when driving through these active work zones. The scheduled closures are subject to change due to weather conditions, emergencies, and other unforeseen factors.
