Senator Bucco named Legislator of the Year by New Jersey Conference of Mayors

NEW JERSEY – Senate Republican Leader Anthony M. Bucco (R-25) was named Legislator of the Year by the New Jersey Conference of Mayors for his outstanding leadership in government at their 60th Annual Spring Conference.

“I’m incredibly honored to be named Legislator of the Year by the New Jersey Conference of Mayors,” said Bucco. “Our mayors are on the front lines of government, working every day to improve the lives of fellow New Jerseyans and this award is a reflection of the strong partnerships that we’ve built across all levels of government to deliver real, meaningful results to residents of the Garden State.”

“I’d like to thank Senate Republican Leader Bucco for joining us at the 60th Annual New Jersey Conference of Mayors Spring Conference and for taking the time to swear me in as president of the organization for the 2025-2026 term. I congratulate him on his well-deserved recognition as Legislator of the Year, and I look forward to continuing our work with his office to bring about positive change throughout the State of New Jersey,” said Mayor Jason F. Cilento, President of the New Jersey Conference of Mayors.

At the Conference, Sen. Bucco also had the privilege of administering the oath of office to its next President, Mayor Jason Cilento of Dunellen.
