Sergeantsville and Stockton Fire Companies announce merger, forming Delaware Township Fire Company effective Jan. 1, 2025

DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company and the Stockton Fire Company have announced their upcoming merger, which will officially take effect on Jan. 1, 2025.

The newly formed organization will be known as the Delaware Township Fire Company.

This landmark merger marks a significant milestone in their shared commitment to enhancing fire protection and emergency services across Delaware Township and Stockton Borough. By uniting their resources, expertise, and personnel, the Delaware Township Fire Company aims to deliver more effective and efficient service to their communities.

Members of both fire companies have been working diligently to ensure a seamless integration process, with a focus on maintaining the high standards of service that our communities have come to rely on. Service to the communities will not be interrupted during the transition to the Delaware Township Fire Company.

Residents can expect to see continued excellence in fire protection, rescue services, and community outreach programs under the new Delaware Township Fire Company banner.
