Somerset County fugitive of the month

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ – James E. Schoenknecht is Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office fugitive of the month for August.

Schoenknecht, 37, is wanted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office for two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun and fourth-degree possession of prohibited weapon or device all of which occurred on June 26, 2021 in South Bound Brook Borough.

Schoenknecht is described as a 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 180-220 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes and has a tattoo on his abdomen.

His last known addresses were in Naples, FL and in Cranford, NJ.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Schoenknecht should contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Fugitive Unit. You should not take any police-action yourself other than to contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Fugitive Unit at 908-231-7100 or via the STOPit app.
