Motorcyclist dies after crash in Somerset County

MANVILLE BOROUGH, NJ (Somerset County) – A motorcyclist died after a crash Sunday evening in Manville Borough, according to Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald.

On Sept. 15, at around 5:32 p.m., officers responded to the area of South Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue for a report of an accident involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle, McDonald said.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the motorcyclist, who was identified as a 47-year-old Montgomery Township man, had suffered critical injuries from the accident. He was transported to a local trauma hospital where he later died from his injuries, McDonald said.

“The investigation is currently ongoing pending the results of the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team’s findings,” McDonald said.
