Morris County man arrested on warrant after Route 10 traffic stop, police say

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Morris County man was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop on Route 10 in Denville Township, according to police.

At approximately 11:15 p.m. on June 23, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 10 East after observing a violation of New Jersey’s Move Over Law.

Police identified the driver as Wilfredo Lopez, 30, of Denville Township.

During the investigation, officers discovered Lopez had an active NCIC warrant issued by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office, according to authorities.

Lopez was arrested and transported to Denville Police Headquarters for processing.

Police issued Lopez a motor vehicle summons for failure to change lanes for an emergency vehicle, a violation of New Jersey’s Move Over Law.

After processing, Lopez was turned over to the custody of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office in connection with the outstanding warrant, police said.
