Somerset County names man fugitive of the month for May

SOMERVILLE, N.J. (Somerset County) — The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office has named a man as its fugitive of the month for May, authorities announced.

Marco P. Garces, 51, is being sought by the prosecutor’s office Fugitive Unit on a warrant for failure to appear in court, officials said.

Authorities said Garces is wanted in connection with one count of second-degree sexual assault involving force or coercion and one count of false imprisonment, stemming from an incident in March 2009.

According to officials, Garces is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is in North Plainfield.

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office is asking anyone with information about Garces’ whereabouts to contact its Fugitive Unit at (908) 231-7100, submit a tip through the STOPit app or call the Somerset County Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-888-577-TIPS.
