Star Community Health to host ‘Walk for Health’ fundraiser May 16

Star Community Health will host a “Walk for Health” fundraiser on Saturday, May 16, to support expanded access to medical, dental and mental health services across the region.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bethlehem Township Community Center and will benefit programs serving Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon and Schuylkill counties, as well as Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

Participants will take part in a 1.3-mile walk along a paved and gravel loop around the community center property, beginning and ending at Pavilion One. Organizers said the route is designed to be accessible for people of all ages and abilities.

The event will also feature activity stations, community resource booths and food trucks.

Registration is $25 per person, while children 13 and younger can participate for free.

“Our Walk for Health is more than a fundraiser — it’s a celebration of the power of community,” said Quynh Hicks, executive director of Star Community Health. “Every step taken helps us expand essential health services for families across our region. We’re grateful for the support of our neighbors, partners, and local organizations who believe in building a healthier future together.”

Proceeds will support efforts to increase access to affordable, high-quality care in underserved communities.

More information and registration details are available online.
