Street fair portion of Hackettstown Oktoberfest canceled due to forecasted weather; other festivities to continue

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — The street fair portion of Hackettstown’s 10th annual Oktoberfest Weekend, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27, has been canceled because of a nor’easter forecast to bring high winds to the area this weekend, according to the Hackettstown Business Improvement District.

The BID said the expected high winds made it unsafe to hold the outdoor street fair.

While the street fair has been canceled, most festivities planned at individual businesses will continue as scheduled. Some outdoor activities will be adjusted, and additional activities will take place indoors.

The BID said individual businesses will provide additional weather-related updates and an updated schedule of events will be released Friday with information about where activities will be held throughout the weekend.
