Suspect flees Morris County hit-and-run crash that killed pedestrian

UPDATE: Pedestrian struck, killed in Morris County ID’d

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Parsippany-Troy Hills on Monday night, authorities said.

The crash happened at around 9:27 pm on Route 46 westbound in the area of Buffalo Wild Wings, officials said.

The male pedestrian was transported to Morristown Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a silver or grey Toyota Rav 4, model year 2019 through 2021, which is missing a sideview mirror on the passenger side, officials said.

As of Tuesday morning, authorities are in the process of identifying the victim. The incident remains under investigation, authorities said.
