Sussex County Skylands Ride to hold annual transportation public hearing Sept. 17

NEWTON, N.J. (Sussex County) — The Sussex County Skylands Ride will hold its annual transportation public hearing Sept. 17, giving residents an opportunity to provide feedback on the county’s community transportation services.

The virtual hearing is scheduled for noon Thursday, Sept. 17, according to an announcement from the Sussex County Community Transit Citizens Advisory Committee.

The committee is inviting riders and other community members to attend the hearing and offer comments on services provided by Sussex County Skylands Ride.

The hearing will be conducted through Zoom. Participants can join using meeting ID 991 3378 2498 and passcode 73kBRD.

Those who want to participate by phone can dial +1 305-224-1968, +1 929-205-6099 in New York or +1 301-715-8592 in Washington, D.C. Callers can then enter the meeting ID and passcode to access the hearing.

Residents who cannot attend the hearing can submit comments by email to Christine Florio at cflorio@sussex.nj.us or by mail to her attention at One Spring Street, 2nd Floor, Newton, NJ 07860.

All written comments must be received by noon Sept. 17, according to the announcement.

Residents with questions about the hearing can contact Florio, the Sussex County Health and Human Services Department administrator, at cflorio@sussex.nj.us.

A meeting of the Sussex County Community Transit Citizens Advisory Committee is scheduled to immediately follow the public hearing.
