Taylor Farms recalls salad kits in New Jersey, 24 other states over undeclared sesame, soy allergens

Taylor Fresh Foods is voluntarily recalling its Taylor Farms Honey Balsamic Salad Kit (6/8.3 oz.) after a supplier error introduced undeclared sesame and soy allergens into some packages, federal officials said.

According to a release from the Food and Drug Administration, the recall was initiated after Latitude 36 Foods, LLC supplied packets of Asian Sesame Ginger dressing instead of the intended Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette, according to the company. Sesame and soy were not declared on the label, posing a risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions for consumers with sensitivities.

The affected products were distributed in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia.

The salad kits carry product codes beginning with “TFRS” and “Best If Used By” dates up to and including Sept. 4, 2025. The product code is located in the upper right-hand corner of the packaging.

Consumers are advised not to eat the recalled salad kits and to discard them immediately. Refunds are available at the location of purchase.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall. The action does not affect other Taylor Farms products or brands.
