Tractor-trailer crashes off I-287 in Somerset County, no injuries reported

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — A tractor-trailer ran off the road early Saturday morning on Interstate 287 north near Exit 14A, according to the New Jersey State Police.

State Police spokesman Sgt. 1st Class Charles Marchan said troopers responded to the crash around 3:19 a.m.

A preliminary investigation determined that a Freightliner tractor-trailer traveling north lost directional control, left the roadway, and struck an embankment, Marchan said.

No injuries were reported at the scene. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available, authorities said.
