Tractor-trailer hauling stone catches fire on I-80 in Warren County

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A tractor-trailer hauling stone caught fire on Interstate 80 in Warren County early Monday morning, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.

The fire was reported at around 4:07 a.m. in Interstate 80 eastbound at milepost 2.3 in Knowlton Township, Lebron said.

Upon the trooper’s arrival, the tractor-trailer hauling stone was fully engulfed, Lebron said.

There were no injuries reported, Lebron said.

The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately clear.
