Tractor-trailer overturns after collision with car on I-80 in Morris County

MOUNT ARLINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Morris County) — A tractor-trailer overturned early Tuesday after colliding with a car on Interstate 80 in Mount Arlington Borough, according to New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded at 4:47 a.m. to the westbound lanes near milepost 29.4 in Mount Arlington, State Police spokesman Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a Volvo tractor-trailer and a Honda sedan collided, causing the truck to run off the roadway, strike a guardrail, and overturn, Lebron said.

The passenger of the Honda sustained minor injuries, according to police. No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available, Lebron said.
