Traffic flagging planned on Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Bridge Dec. 21, 22 and 23
FRENCHTOWN BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Motorists traveling across the Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge should expect possible daytime traffic delays on Saturday, Dec. 21, and Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 22 and 23, as crews complete final work on a yearlong rehabilitation project.
Flagger-controlled alternating single-lane traffic is scheduled to be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on those dates at the 94-year-old truss bridge, officials said.
The temporary traffic pattern is needed to complete remaining elements of the bridge rehabilitation project. Brief delays are possible while the alternating single-lane restrictions are in place.
Motorists are advised to reduce speeds, use caution and follow directions from flaggers when approaching or crossing the bridge.
Officials noted the scheduled traffic restrictions are subject to change due to weather conditions, emergencies or other factors.
