TreEscape Aerial Adventure Park in Sussex County kicks off 2025 season

Tree-Top Thrills Await: Climb, Zip, and Conquer the Heights at TreEscape Aerial Adventure Park

VERNON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – TreEscape Aerial Adventure Park, one of North Jersey’s most exhilarating experiential destinations, officially opens for the 2025 season today, Saturday, May 3, at 414 County Road 517 in Vernon Township.

A must-visit for those looking to create unforgettable memories this summer, TreEscape offers climbing elements for all skill levels, with a range of obstacles, rope walks, and, of course, adrenaline-pumping zip lines that allow guests to soar through the trees of the Great Gorge at heights of 50 feet. Advanced reservations are required and can be made at www.treescapeadventurepark.com.

To celebrate the season opening, TreEscape is launching its first-ever Golden Ticket Giveaway. Every guest who books and climbs during the month of May will be automatically entered to win unlimited access to TreEscape for the entire season. One lucky climber will receive the Golden Ticket—good for season-long adventure. The earlier the visit, the better the odds, with opening weekend offering the first chances to win. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible climbs between May 3–31. Season access is subject to usage limits and outlined in the official Terms & Conditions.

“One thing’s for certain – whether you’re a returning thrill seeker or harnessing in for the first time with us, each visit is exhilarating,” said John Matusiewicz, Manager of TreEscape Aerial Adventure Park. “There’s no better feeling than seeing the looks on our guests’ faces as they enter the park and, of course, when they successfully progress through each obstacle. There’s nothing else like it – this is truly one of New Jersey’s hidden gems.”

Offering activities for all skill levels, TreEscape has something for everyone—from seasoned adventurers to beginners, and even a course designed specifically for children.

The TreEscape Aerial Adventure Park offers three distinct experiences for guests:

  • Aerial Obstacle Course: Nestled in the forest of The Great Gorge and built directly into the trees high above its quarries, TreEscape’s Aerial Obstacle Course offers varying levels of difficulty, challenging both first-time climbers and experienced thrill-seekers. The park offers 10 courses across five different levels of difficulty:

    • Purple: Digger’s Journey and Explorer Alley

    • Yellow: Tunnel Quest and Gold Nugget Gamble

    • Green: Limestone Lane, Quarry Road, and Sussex Skyway

    • Blue: Dynamite Encounter and Miner’s March

    • Black: Driller’s Dare

  • Black Creek Flyer: The Black Creek Flyer consists of 15 unique zip lines, each ranging from 50-150 feet long, four easy-to-cross bridges, three ladders, and various platforms from 5-50 feet above the ground.

  • Kid’s Park: Designed specifically for the youngest climbers (ages 4-6), the Kid’s Park offers two purple courses—Digger’s Journey and Explorer Alley—with over 20 exciting obstacles. Parents are also welcome to walk alongside their climbers as they explore.

For the ultimate day trip, guests can experience TreEscape in several ways. Tickets are available for just the Aerial Obstacle Course or Black Creek Flyer or combined for a four-hour adventure. Immersive three-hour night climbs are also available, where guests can climb and zip under the stars with the park lit by rope lights strung throughout the trees. The park is also available for group reservations for birthday parties, scouts, sports teams, field trips, corporate events, and more.

Safety is a top priority at TreEscape Aerial Adventure Park, with each guest receiving a personalized lesson from an instructor, including a thorough briefing on the harness system and strategies to conquer obstacles. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable, well-fitted clothing, sneakers (no open-toed footwear), and leave jewelry at home. Lockers are available at the park for storing valuables, free of charge, though availability is limited.
